October Road Fan's start a new campaign to bring the show back to TV!

OK, just in case you have been living in a cave for the past 3 months, October Road was cancelled. After the fan's campaigned, donated, promoted, and generally fought their guts out. ABC/DISNEY ignored the fan's plea and cancelled the beloved show anyways. President of ABC entertainment Stephen McPherson was quoted saying this about the fan's efforts to save their show October Road, "just a small core group of fan's....to bring the show back for a third season....they weren't the audience we were looking for!" I could be miss quoting him here but that is the closest I can come by just memory, cuz I am in a hurry to get this blog posted. So if you haven't heard October Road fan's are calling themselves "Roadies". In an article talking about the cancellation of the show back on May 13th a reporter referred to the fan's as a "cult fan base", this also could be a miss quote. What I do know is that McPherson and the article named us Roadies as a small group that is a cult. This has many of us Roadies fired up. To help show what a huge cult we are, the Roadies have decided to send emails and letters straight to Mr. McPherson. Please see links list for press release and more information about this campaign. I am including in this entry the nuts and bolts of the campaign. I ASK ALL OF AMERICA AND THE WORLD TO JOIN US IN THIS CAMPAIGN TO GET ABC TO SEE WE ARE NOT SUCH A SMALL GROUP. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AND MAKE SURE YOUR VOICE IS HEARD. THE LITTLE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD NEED YOUR HELP, IF YOU LIKE TO FIGHT FOR THE UNDERDOG, THE ROADIES ARE YOUR GROUP! Thank you and END OF RANT! The goal of the letters/emails campaign is to get as many of them there on the same day, which is JUNE 10th. So here's the break down for you: EAST COAST ROADIES: mail your letters, postcards, and anything else you want to send by mail pick up of June 6, 2008. MID. COUNTRY ROADIES: mail your letters, postcards, and anything else you want to send by mail pick up of June 7, 2008. WEST COAST ROADIES: mail your letters, postcards, and anything else you want to send by mail pick up of June 9, 2008. (side note for people that live in Northern California, my end of the country. I know that my post office is slow and it takes a full day to get a letter from Sacramento which is only 30 minutes away from me. So I will personally be sending my letters and such on June 8Th, to be sure they arrive on or before the goal date of June 10Th. I think better to arrive early then late, JMO though.) The goal for the mass email is for June 10th also. But you can send your emails out the night of June 9th, so they will be there the next morning for McPherson and Sweeney. Remember to keep the emails short, like read it in 2 minutes short. That's going to be hard for me, LOL! OK so here are the addresses for both McPherson and Sweeney, good luck everyone!
