..taught me about tv and the networks! Sure yesterday was a great day! Sure we all banded together and fought the good fight. But today I am ticked off. Today I am going to rant on both my blogs! I hate that we even have to do this! I love October Road for all that it is and could be! I love this show cuz it is so rare to get a show like this to watch on network tv these days. But I have said all this before. Tonight I'm angry and I'm going to vent. You can read on or keep on moving down the line. I hope you read! I hope I make a little bit of sense. In honor of the last episode of Men in Trees being aired tonight I am going to include it in this rant of mine. Last night I was commenting on opinion's over at HN and I saw that people have been posting opinions on the page for the new CBS show "SwingTown". I saw that almost every single opinion was blasting this show. I didn't even know it had a page yet, I mean it's not even on t.v yet, just commercial's being played every time there is a commercial break on CBS. So I posted an opinion and got a response comment today. Hear is what I posted on that show's page: "IMO, This show should never make it to television, cable or other wise! Ok so I DVR everything I watch on t.v. I have seen some of the commercials for this show. This show could find a place like the FX network, they like porn over there! But come on! Besides the fact that this show is about couple's that swing, it is in the 70's. Do we really need another show boasting how wonderful everyone thought the 70's were! I mean everyone thinks these show's about the 70's are so great! Why cuz all them people that miss all the drugs you want, all the sex you want, and all the recklessness you want, miss the 70's! So that generation wants to relive thoughs days, right? I hope that generation is smarter and tunes out to show's that play up how great it all was to be that dumb! ABC is putting out a show called "Life On Mars" about a guy who get's hit back to the 70's, why should I care! The networks have lost their FRAKKEN MINDS! They cancelled shows like October Road, Men in Trees, and Moonlight so they could put this junk on, STUPID!" The person that left me a comment to the above opinion said the networks haven't lost their minds they have LOST RESPECT FOR US AS VIEWERS. They think this is what we want to see on our t.v.'s I think this person is right! Thats why we have to keep fighting these frakken networks and not let them think we are going to lay down and take this. I'm really tired today, but I'm also really ticked off. I'm so sick of these networks not caring what we think or say. I'm so tired of being told what I should and shouldn't like as entertainment. I refuse to go along with the masses of this country. Some things are worth fighting for, even if it is a t.v. show. You can draw a line in the sand and then keep moving it back every time you compromise your values. But sometimes you have to stop compromising your values and stand up to the majority and say enough is enough!!!! Thats why Men in Trees, October Road, Las Vegas, and Moonlight need to all be given another chance. One more piece of trash reality show is not exceptable to me. One more stupid show about how great the 70's were, is not exceptable to me! I'm not going to take it, who's with me????? END OF RANT!

Hi Meg. First I have to say I'm pissed I did not know that they canceled Moonlight. I love that show! And I need to in form you that unfortunately Swing town is on the air. It started like two weeks ago. I now because I turned the tv off when I saw that it was coming on. I could not believe it . This is ubserd and ludicrous. I can't believe that networks are going this far. I'm there with ya sister.

I agree with you Meggan, I don't understand how the networks are not seeing what we want to watch. We should not have to watch the shows that they think are great. They deffinetly need to listen to the fans.
